Winter Card

This card is more a winter theme than Christmas, I love using blues for cards.

Baby Boy Card

I had a co-worker needing a baby boy card, so here is what I came up with. These stamps are all from High Hopes Rubber stamps, there is a link on my blog on the right hand side closer to the bottom.

Christmas Cards

I am a little behind in posting some cards I made for an exchange, so here they are! I used my new Cuttlebug that I got for my birthday for the embossed backgrounds, I love it.

Bluer than Blue

I know this is unrelated but I am more depressed than usual. I don't know if it's because Christmas is coming, my birthday coming, or not being married and having kids. I just feel so alone and long to hold Maylin in my arms. Fundraising isn't going so well and I wonder if it's God's way of saying Maylin will never come home. All I want for Christmas is to be married and get a good start on funds for Maylin's adoption. All I want to do is cry right now.

Dreams and Dragons

I had to make a birthday card for a boy and with my limited sets that even could be used for a boy, this one came in handy. I love the dragon and thought this was perfect and I hope the little boy likes it.

Snow Angels

I used one of the smaller stamps in this set to make this card. I also used Sincere Salutations (I think) for the sentiment. I like how it turned out. I used my watercolour pencils on this one.

Snow Angels

One of my favourite winter sets is, Snow Angels from SU. I made this cute card with this set. I love to use colours that are non-traditional Christmas cards.

Lace Snowflakes

I love this set so much, I had to make another different card with them. I think the white snowflakes look great on the red background. I used just the one stamp set, with the white craft ink and white embossing powder. Used two white doodlebug eyelets and gold cord from SU.

Kids Cards

Here is another one of the "Kids Cards" from SU. Just used up some more paper, it's okay! I like making cards but they don't always turn out the way I want them to.

Mini Mates

I decided to try a non-traditional colour for this Christmas card and I think it turned out well. It's very plain and I really like it. I used SU ink and cardstock of course, think it's perfect plum. I also used staples to attach the squares to the white twill.

Delight in Life

I made a Congrats card for Colin's sister. She got a job the other day so we are proud of her after all her schooling. So I took one of my favourite sets and made a staple card for her. Her mum thought it was bought, that made me feel good. I hope to sell more cards this week to raise funds for Maylin's adoption.

Kids Cards

I used the set "Kids Cards" from Stampin' Up for these 4 cards. I am making cards to sell to help raise funds for the orphanage that my daughter will come from. All these cards used the same stamp, paper, ink and whatnot, they are very simple but I think turned out quite cute.

Let's hope that the pictures upload this time.

Who am I?

I have finally decided to show you and tell you a bit about myself. First of all my name is Monique and I am addicted to stamping and crafting in general. Not only is crafting my passion but children are too. I am trying very hard to save up and raise money to adopt a baby girl from China which we have named "Maylin" if you would like to donate to help this great cause click on the chip in button in the posts below or leave me a comment or email me. Okay now don't laugh too much about my picture, it's late and I have wet hair so I look like the cat got me.
damita98@mts.net

Lace Snowflakes

Can you tell Lace Snowflakes is one of my favourite Stampin Up' sets? This one is very basic, did a bit of paper piercing (which didn't turn out all that well)

More Club Stamp (Crap)

I am considering the Club Stamp kits "crap" IMHO the stamps are boring and the kits are so so, definitely not worth the money I am paying for them. Thankfully I only have a month or two left in the subscription. Anyways, this card is totally not me and I am really not sure I even like it but I made it.

House Mouse

One of my favourites (in case you didn't already know) are these adorable House Mouse stamps, only wish I could buy them here so I have to get them all online. Anyways, here is a stamp I got last year that I have been wanting to use. So here it is, just plain the way I like it.

Club Stamp

I must say that I am not overly impressed with the Club Stamp products but I will do my best to use up what I purchased and won't renew my membership. The stamps are not the best and the paper colors are just not me. But I am trying to use them and go out of my comfort zone. Anyways, this card is using paper from the last kit I got. It's a cute little note card size and very plain. I just embellished with some eyelets.

Peace on Earth

Using the "Lace Snowflakes" from Stampin Up, I made this soft wintery card. I used the 2007 In Color, Buckaroo Blue (I believe) and used some patterend paper from Club Stamp. The ribbon is from my stash and it's a nice soft card. This card or any other card you see can be purchased and/or sent to a loved one. All cards are $2.50 not including shipping and/or personalization. All funds from sales will go towards bringing Maylin home.

Season of Thanks

This card is also for my secret sister for Thanksgiving, made with SU stamps, paper and inks. Colored in with watercolour pencils.

Bitty Boos

I made this card for my secret sister, I think it's pretty cute! I used Stampin' Up's Bitty Boos set along with black and white inkpads. I also used a cats eye chalk ink pad on the sides of the squares, eyelets and some ribbon.

OT Xylana's Fashion Show

I know this is not craft related but Xylana had to show off the dress I bought for Maylin, it's really cute.

Painted Posies

I tried something new with this stamp set. I drew a circle on the white cardstock and then stamped a wreath on it, not too bad eh?

Friendships Grow

This is one of my most favourite stamp sets. This card I made for my secret sister with my watercolour pencils, my favourite technique to use.

Congratulations Baby Card

I keep forgetting to post the new cards I have made so here are a few I made in the last week.
This first card was for Michelle on the birth of her beautiful baby boy Liam, he's a real cutie and just perfect.

Lunch Pail

I have had a few pictures on my camera for the past few weeks and kept forgetting to upload them, so here they are!

This is a card pail I made for my secret sister, I hope she likes it.

Because of You . . .

I had a moment of creative inspiration so I ran with it. I used the "Because of You" SU stamp set and Cool Carribean paper. I think it turned out rather lovely. Thank you to Tara for sending me some embossed card fronts they are so pretty.

Second Lunch Box Attempt

I tried another lunchbox and am happy with the results. This one is for my beautiful sister Denise.

Saturday, July 7, 2007

I made this collage of my beautiful baby, Xylana.

I made my very first altered lunch box tin. I used my acid wash "Sophie" collection paper, some Prima flowers, grosgrain ribbon, fibers and jewels from Queen and Company. It's my first attempt so it's not the best.

Perfect Posies

I made another card, but am really tired so it's not that great :o( It is for my Secret Sister and I am disappointed in it but I really need to get her a card and it'll do until I feel better. I even rushed taking a photo, I hate feeling crappy.

Pocket Full of Posies

I made this for a lady on the Stampin' Up list I am on, her grandma is turning 90 and they like to count how many cards they get on their birthdays, so I am sending her a card to add to her collection and hopefully brighten her day. The card above is what I came up with. I used my new Stampin' Up set, "Pocket Full of Posies" that I got a few weeks ago on Ebay. I think it's really neat the way I made it open.

Anniversary Card

I used Stampin' Up's set "Summer by the Sea" It is one of my favourites and this is what I came up with for an Anniversary card. I also used the sentiment from "Tender Toile" and the stamp from Club Stamp's June kit as well as some cardstock.

Wedding Card

Well I am not sure about this card, but I kind of like it. I wanted something simple for a wedding, but elegant as well. I made the inside by sewing the edges so money can be put in the card. What do you think?

Strawberry Shortcake Character

I can't remember the name of this character, but isn't she cute? I thought she'd make a great birthday card, so here it is!

A Happy Hi & House Mouse

I created two birthday cards today for a friend. One I used my new "Stampin' Up" set called "A Happy Hi" and the other a new "House Mouse" stamp, so darling.

Club Stamp & House Mouse

I caved in and finally joined a club, Club Stamp to be exact. I got my first kit last week and have made a card with some of the supplies. I didn't use the kit stamp yet though. This card showcases a "House Mouse" stamp and all the supplies are from the Club Stamp kit. I made it for a co-worker who had a really hard day today, so will give it to her tomorrow and hope that it brightens her day a bit. I love to make cards for people because people need to know how special they truly are. If you know anyone who could use a "RAK" of a card, please let me know, I would be happy to make them one to brighten their day.

Cheers,
Monique

New Stamp Sets

I got a few new stamps sets in the past couple of weeks but I haven't had time to play much. I have been looking for ideas on SCS for the one set I got and it's so cute. I can't wait to play with the stamps next week or maybe tomorrow. I need some more cards to post in my blog so it's not so boring.

New card

Lets try this again. After reinstalling the software for my camera that someone DELETED I can upload my new card. I made it for a co-worker who miscarried last week, poor girl is having a hard time, so I thought a card might brighten her day. I didn't notice though that some of my watercolors ran, oh well.

Older Cards

I haven't gotten a chance to make a card yet but here is another one I made recently for a secret sister. What the heck I will put a view cards in my blog today until I can make some new ones next week.
